OYMI is a voice journaling app for iPhone. Instead of typing, you speak — OYMI records your voice and transcribes it into text directly on your device. It's a fast, private way to capture thoughts, feelings, and daily reflections.
OYMI is for anyone who wants to journal but finds typing too slow or too much effort. It works well for daily reflection, capturing thoughts on the go, or simply having a private space to speak freely.
OYMI is an iPhone app requiring iOS 18 or later. An Android version is not currently available.
OYMI is currently in early access. You can join the waitlist to be notified when it launches. We'll reach out to waitlist members first.
You open the app, press record, and speak. OYMI transcribes your voice into text as you talk. When you're done, your entry is saved — both the audio and the transcript. You can read it back, edit the text, or delete it at any time.
Yes. You can edit the transcript text of any entry after recording. This is useful for correcting transcription errors or adding a note to something you said.
Yes. When you delete an entry, it is removed from the app on your device. OYMI does not include built-in cloud backup.
You don’t need an internet connection to record, transcribe, or browse your entries in OYMI.
No. Transcription happens entirely on your device. Your recordings are not sent to a server for processing. OYMI uses on-device speech recognition for this. Your audio recordings are not sent to a server. Some features may use your transcribed text to generate insights.
Your entries — audio and transcripts — are stored on your iPhone in the app. OYMI does not include built-in cloud backup. Transcription happens on-device; your recordings are not sent to a server for processing.
Deleting the app removes OYMI and its data from your device. OYMI does not include built-in cloud backup, so you cannot recover entries through the app. If you use iCloud or other device backups, those are managed by iOS and your settings, not by OYMI.

OYMI is a paid app. Pricing will be announced at launch. If you join the waitlist, you'll be among the first to hear about it.
